Tabarca
Life on the smallest inhabited island of the Mediterranean
For those looking to slow down
Tabarca is known for sleepy sunsets, excellent seafood, and a slow pace. This is the ideal location for people who want to be able to focus on their work. There are no cars on the island, so the only background noise is the sound of seagulls and the waves that slowly caress the medieval walls surrounding the small town.
Once you’ve lived there for a month you’ll likely know all the locals. Some might even drop by with the catch of the day if you ask nicely! During the high season the island can get busy during the day, but due to the scarcity of hotels it tends to quiet down around 6PM when the last of the ferries head back to Alicante.
The Accomodation
The home we offer is a minute’s walk from the beach (honestly, all the houses in Tabarca are), and has great views of the sea, the church and the palm tree studded plaza it overlooks.
All the rooms have access to a well equipped kitchen, two bathrooms, a work area and an upper terrace with 360 degree ocean views that is ideal for slow evenings with a good bottle of wine.
